Ching Fu Shipbuilding had the Keel Laying Ceremony today for its Hull No. 063, a stern trawler owned by an Icelandic shipowner, Ingimundur hf. This is the second of two trawlers for this owner.

Ching Fu Shipbuilding signed a contract with US Company South Pacific Tuna Co., Ltd for four 1100 Ton Purse Seine Vessels. Delivery Dates for these vessels are to be in late 2007 and early 2008.

Our CEO, Ching Nan Chen's, younger sister, Mrs. Mary Tsai, returned from the United States where she currently resides, to open a special exhibition of her art today. Her exhibition of paintings are on display at Kaohsiung's Cultural Center. Her paintings depict events in Taiwan's history and portraits of Taiwan's beautiful landscapes.

H060, a 1100 T Purse Seine, was successfully launched today by Ching Fu Shipyard. This vessel is set to be delivered by the end of this year.

Ching Fu Shipbuilding launched her Hull No. H057 named "Atlantic Seahunter". This 81 meter Clam Harvesting and Processing Vessel is owned by Canadian based company Clearwater Partnership Co., Ltd.

Fong Kuo Shipyard today successfully launched her Hull No. S404, a 1100 ton freezing tuna long liner being built for the Koos Fishing Company Ltd.

Fong Kuo/Ching Fu Shipbuilding had the great honor today to welcome the President of the Republic of Marshall Islands H.E. President Kessai Note and First Lady Mrs. Mary Note to our shipyard. Also included in their delegation were RMI's Foreign Affairs Minister Gerald Zachios and his wife; Senator Alik Alik; and Ambassador Alexander Bing and his wife.

Fong Kuo/Ching Fu Shipbuilding were very honored today to host our country's leader, President Shui-Bian Chen and visiting President of Nauru, H.E. Ludwig Derangadage Scotty M.P. The Presidents toured the yards together and were given a presentation about the history of our shipyards.

The dance troupe was invited by the Kaohsiung City Government and sponsored by our CEO Mr. Ching Nan Chen to dance at the Kaohsiung Lantern Festival celebration at the Love River.

Ching Fu Shipbuilding successfully lengthened the hull of H057 today by carefully pulling forwardthe front potion of the hull. This process accomplished our Canadian owner's request to increase the length of the vessel by six meters for an overall length of 81m.
