Two General Cargo vessels, "Orient King" and "Oceania
Queen", were constructed for a Japanese ship-owner and sail
under the Flag of Panama. These ships are 8000 DWT Multipurpose
General Cargo vessels with two cargo holds. Each ship is divided
by a freeboard deck and have an upper and lower deck. The total
capacity of the hold of each ship is 15,350 cubic meters (grain).
These ships were designed to be able to carry bale, grain, general
cargo, oversize cargoes and containers. The equipment onboard each
vessel includes two each 30 ton and 25 ton Thomson type cargo derricks,
electrohydraulic winch and weather-tight chain driven single pull
type hatch covers.
