Ocean Researcher 2 was delivered to the National Taiwan Ocean University to execute research on Taiwan's northern coast, while Ocean Researcher 3 was delivered to the National Sun Yat-Sen University for research on the southern coast. The yard used fishing experience from Ching Fu's sister fishing companies to collect research for use on these vessels. Both vessels carry out research work concerning ocean ecology and geology; fishery environment research; river mouth hydrography and the inspection of Taiwan's surrounding ocean ecology. The investigation reports obtained individually by the research vessels are combined to form a complete analysis of Taiwan's coastal area. These two research vessels have contributed greatly to upgrade the standard of ocean technology research and compiling an up to date oceanographic research database.

We are proud of the fact that, all current Oceanographic Research Vessels in use in Taiwan have all been built by our yard, with the exception of imported vessels.
