| In order to fully utilize
the shipyard's capacity, Ching Fu in 1991 began to repair ships in
addition to its regular new shipbuilding. In the beginning, the yard
focused on repairing the bulk carriers under 6000tons which frequent
Kaohsiung's port. However, by 1997, Ching Fu had amassed a great deal
of experience and technical knowledge in new shipbuilding. Therefore,
an extremely specialized Repair Department was established at the
yard. This department designed and installed at Ching Fu specialized
repair tools. With these tools, Ching Fu is able to complete comprehensive
repair projects very efficiently and at reduced costs. All repair
work is undertaken by Ching Fu's accomplished team of capable engineers,
long term professional qualified sub-contractors and international
standard design department. |
